Doesn't anyone love us, too?

We need help--the ChipIn above is at $100 for the month--and we need at least $1500. From where does our help come,
I wonder? It comes from the Lord--who will find RR Angels to help. This is hopefully the last crisis month. Please
help the RR Herd sooner than later...
(In this photo, the group that was out, were so thrilled to get treat boxes in
the mail--and food and new outfits even--blankets, (we are A-OK now on crates), tough-tough toys, Dingo Bones, chews, canned
food, kibble by the SUV-full, and more are all needed.
We have three doggie wheel-chairs on order this month--Pasha's
new one and the Chihuahua sisters need them sadly--we do have partical trade-in credit but there are still associated expenses.
Gift cards to Target, Wal-Mart, Petsmart, Petco are all great blessings! We've gotten McDonald's cards, even, since this is
a gourmet treat for the RR dogs!
I have to heal and cannot worry about this anymore and especially cannot be stressed.
I just have to count on people who care to help the animals that they so love me to write about--as I continue to recover.
And,
should the day come that my RR books get published (and it will), all RR Angels will get a signed, first edition copy of the
adult book and the first edition of the illustrated children's book. I just some need help finding an agent and/or publisher
who will laugh themselves silly over the RR stories!
Please Please Please help. Just literally click right on
the ChipIn brown box above/at the very top of the page to give a gift using your paypal account OR go to our GIVE NOW page and use your credit card to give a gift. Thank you kindly!
Thank you for caring. REALLY caring.
I wrote a Happy Mother's Day story on my Houston Chron blog--blog.chron.com/fromunderthebridge--but apparently forget to post it here. Oops! So, Happy Mother's Day!! I hope you go back and read it--"Bow-Wow
Woof..."
Right now, I am working on a story about pet food recalls--and why it is important to watch for symptoms
of illness. Some are so urgent, that literally hours make a difference. Knowing your pet/s normal drinking/eating/potty
patterns is very important--and being conscious of their temperature just petting their head and their tummy. When they
have a fever, you should at least be able to recognize that there is a big change in temp and call the vet. (Remember, after
exercising, they will be hot and thirsty--fevers are easy to feel when they are at a resting rate.)
We've had practically
a flock of Blue Jays here all week. I have had so much fun watching them zoom by the windows, over the house, an inch from
the grass--they are amazing to watch! So much different than my precious Cardinal and his Lady Love, who are still here--but
they go back to their nest when the Blue Jays are around.
I went out for a walk around the ranch yesterday and saw a
nest up in a tree. I couldn't tell whose it was but it was fairly small with little twigs. There didn't seem to be anyone
left in it. But for next year, I know where to look now!
The storms are really bothering Precious. She has big
time anxiety--and has eaten her way out of a few crates alread, both wire and plastic. She wants to run away but that is maybe
how her eye was ruptured when we rescued her? She panics at the distant sound of thunder, never mind near-by lightening.
I am going to have to find a crate that is made for dogs like this. She can't be lose at the Ranch, even with supervision--dogs
like this have been known to crash through windows having a panic attack! (Thankfully, we haven't experienced that.)
The
May Chip In above is a way to help the RR--or you can go to the Give Now page. This should be the last month of urgent help
needed--so if you can, please send a gift card or whatever your heart moves you to do. We have our hands more than full,
especially with new wheelchairs for Pixie and Panda--their operations didn't fix their legs enough to walk unaided, much to
my sadness--and a new wheelchair for Pasha--who needs four wheels not two any more. She refuses to use her chair.
We don't mind the responsibility of keeping alive and well a herd of special needs animals--but we sure would appreciate
help taking care of their needs. We had no idea how many ongoing needs they have--it is nothing like just having a dog
as a pet that you let in/out and feed.
Our mailing address is: Rescue Ranch, 945 McKinney Street, #242, Houston, TX
77002. When you go to Target, Wal-Mart, Petsmart, Petco, PLEASE pick up a gift card and drop it in the mail. If
that is not possible, our paypal address is a.rescue.volunteer@gmail.com and you can transfer a gift to the RR or click on
the "Give" buttons or ChipIn boxes or CLICK HERE to go to the ChipIn page. We are at $125 of gifts for the month out of a $1500 needed. Eek! but thank you so much to those
who have--and continue to help!!
Thank you so much for caring. Especially for caring.
